‘Heel Toe Heel Toe’ Field Trip

The 13th Stairwell’s Field Trip ‘Heel Toe Heel Toe’ was an interactive artist-led walking tour exploring public stairways in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood. Passing homes only accessible by stairs, we finally got to ask, “How do they take out their trash?” Activities included a “Bernal Menagerie” postcard scavenger hunt, a white noise field recording session later turned into a projected film soundtrack, a game of frogger on a freeway overpass and the rendition of a house’s history told only through cue cards.
